So, it comes as no surprise to us that the banking industry has also developed into a major presence over the Internet as well. But just how safe is online banking? Will your money really be secure?

Erik For me the advantages have greatly outweighed the disadvantages.

A useful tool to share: CheckingFinder is a search tool that identifies community banks and credit unions paying up to 6% APY. They are all FDIC insured. Just type in your zip.

They do have a few requirements including online banking, direct deposit and minimum debit card transactions. Banks make (or save) a good amount of money when you fulfill these requirements which is then passed on to the consumer in the form of reward checking.

It's important to stay on top of your % as it can change. I've had to change banks a couple times due to rate changes.
