Cody Lane I have been given a Percheron mare that they say is about 21 or 22 years old. Good health. She would have been put down to make room for a team. I have not even seen her, but would not have that happen to a good and gentle animal. I hope you are right about longevity, but even so, I will love her till the end. What a wonderful write-up about them. I have had a1/2 Belgium logging mareand 2-3/4 Belgiums and loved them dearly. 4/16/2010

Lia manel Where do you come up with 41. Was this a real working horse?
I''ve draft breeds and as of the 7th of jan, his life is over at 21. We are told by vets and books, that 20-25 is the life span of drafts. My 21 yr old had the best life every... well looked after and not worked, just light riding to keep in shape. makes one wonder.		 1/10/2009
