Ryan Esparza I think what Takashi Mukai was absurd considering that the Japanese raped and murdered thousands of people in the cities of Nanking and in Unit 731, the medical research center in Manchuria. In both cases hundreds of thousands of innocent people were not only killed, but tortured, raped, and purposely exposed to killer diseases all for Japanese amusement while Paul Tibbets killed a fraction of that number instantaneously. Yeah thousands more will die after but he did it as an alternative end the war (which was supposed to have been the actual invasion of mainland Japan) which in theory could have saved up to a million American lives. I think what Mr. Tibbets did was the right thing and I see him as an American hero. 3/10/2009
