Displeased Anaconda is the most toxic town in Montana. Due to the Supper Fund Project, they have brought in more toxins into this area from other sites and shifted bad dirt from one end of town to the other. Dust storms are light if you don't mine midnight at noon. Black Slag in the bunkers (GLASS). Ware black socks.Prop. taxes are the highest here. No restaurant to speak of. Can't buy Clothing here. Nothing for the kids, Oh a skate board park they can use for three months out of the year. Town dose not want to grow to suit people's needs. The City offers Bad ground to potential businesses. The level of Assorted toxins here is elevated Higher then normal. Do some comparison. The City Council just dose not go the extra mile for their people. Sorry but if we could sell our house We Would Move, Anywhere, Cleaner. 10/24/2009
Cindy Johnson I am was born and raised in Anaconda and have continued to live here and raise a family. It nice to hear how people like our town. There are many other things to do and sights to see in and around the Anaconda area for instance rafting on the Big Hole River, fishing our beautiful mountain lakes, streams, and rivers. In the winter you can go skiing and snowmobiling. I am very glad you enjoyed the area and yes we are cheaper than most places. 6/26/2008
John MT During the summer, you could also go to Lost Creek Raceway, if your into drag racing. It may not be Winternationals, but it's fun to go see some beautiful cars and have some fun.
And don't forget Art in the Park every summer. Live music, good food, Made in Montana products all set in beautiful Washoe park. This year July 18-20 2008.

Craig Campana Having moved from Anaconda 28 years ago when I graduated from AHS and went to college - I appreciate the descriptiveness of your summary. It has been 7 years since I have been "home" and was for my dad's funeral, so I was not there really to sight-see or catch up with old friends. My son was born in Missoula 17 years ago (June 11) and we had often talked about taking a trip to Montana before he graduates from high school next year. The allure of your article makes me want to spend a few days or a week in Anaconda and catch up so thanks for sharing your vision. 6/10/2008
