What happened to "Music Television"?

What happened to the actual music on MTV and VH1? Now I find that there are mostly reality shows on both channel, most of the day. What is that about?

j gentry I loved the VHI and most of MTV. If my daughter talked about a song or a musician she really liked I could catch them on one of the stations. Now I have no idea! do what your call letters say. play music or at least find a happy medium. 11/17/2008

horrible condition of the music channels fall from grace...

Someone with an accent, a hacker who is afraid
to show his face, mentioned that, 'some of us don't like music' behind propaganda at viacom.
I doubt that anyone really cares about the horror of cyberpunks in the media controls or
the results, just as no one cares about the lives of americans from the cult. But sometimes
