dave Hello, I recently caught a wolf spider in my home, and decided to keep him. Put him in a 3.5 gal tank with 4" of sand on the bottom. I also included a sponge for water supply. I had expected him to make a burrow in the sand, but instead, he ran webbing sort of haphazardly all along the bottom and corners of the tank spanning the entire lengh and also several to and from the sponge. I read that wolf spiders don't spin webs, are these threads trip lines for prey? I thought that wolf spiders chased down their prey. I have not read anywhere that wolf spiders set traps. I was verry supprised when I saw this. 6/30/2008
