All through April and June, they have trekked about 300 miles, through the melting snow of springtime. But the summer does not last long in the tundra. Some time in August, they feel the nip in the air, that tells them it is time to get back to the spruce forest. By December, both night and day are dark. The winter is long. Some time in late March, a sudden warm breeze begins to blow, and the snow begins to melt. The pregnant caribou cows know that it is time to head up north again, where they will give birth to their young in the tundra summer. - I hope this answers your question. Thank you for reading and commenting. how long are seosons in the tundra biome?

Hi Alex - In July, way up north, thousands of caribou slowly munch as they keep moving.
