Marie Osmond I think at one time.One of the Charlie's Angels wore her hair like this not Farrah though. The hair was layer but it wasn't a shag. The hair was mostly rolled as to have a lot of body with a majority of the hair cut in different lenght and not much was left longer. Usually the shorter hair was rolled with large rollers and the longer hair with smaller Roller. It was a hit around 1972- until the mid to late 70's.		 10/17/2009

Rita Hi Sylvia - I think plastics were in use quite as much as they are today, even in the 70's. As for the angel food cutter being used to comb the Afro, sure they were, and so were cake combs. Thanks for reading and commenting on my article. 10/27/2007
