That is what the man told me when I got started farming, and it is something of a truth in the garden.
You never reap in the same season you sow, and you can only harvest what you sow, so the best thing you can do is get started. Figure out what you enjoy eating, and grow that. Or if you've ever been interested in growing something in particular, find those kinds of seeds. No matter which way you go, the most important thing is to get your hands, and some seeds, in the soil, and get growing. You'll be amazed a what grows!
