#11 is actually a chemical that has 1, 185 letters, but if you don't count that, it is actually pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, which is 45 letter long and means a lung disease caused by silica dust. 'floccinaucinihilipilification' is the fifth longest word in the English language. |

on number 14 the answer says ‘Startling’ is the word. Begin by removing ‘i’, which makes it ‘staring' that isn't right if you got rid of the i it would be starling not staring then according to the answer the next word would be saring |

Number 14, your anser does not make sense, Starting, Remove the eye, is Startlng - Not Staring, that would require the L and T to be removed, therefore voiding the following words, You also went from a six letter String - To a 4 letter Sing, again incorrect.
Try,
Startling - Starling - Staring - String - Sting - Sing - Sin - In - I |

ALSO, TECHNICAL WORDS DO NOT COUNT! TECHINCAL WORDS, LIKE MEDICAL TERMS, OR NAMES OF CHEMICALS, DO NOT COUNT AS A 'LONGEST WORD'! |

The word "PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS" is a factitious word, and was infact made up simply to be the longest word in the english language, when the desease is more commonly called 'Silicosis'. Look it up before you try proving them wrong. Anyways, it's just a riddle site, like they could care less if your right. |

Most of these riddles aren't very good. Either I've seen them before or your explanations are terrible, open ended, or vague in some way.
1. Your shadow can become larger or smaller than you, depending on how the sun is shining. Or, better yet, when it's dark out it's nowhere.
2. This one reads more like a joke than a riddle. Not to mention "Have a talk with her about how much of a nuisance she is." or "Eat her." or "Get rid of her in her sleep." are all acceptable answers but of course the RIGHT answer is too open ended to even consider anything else.
3. This one actually isn't a bad riddle, though I've also heard it before.
4. This seems more like an English lesson than anything. Who doesn't know what a palindrome is anymore?
5. "Consonants", "Letters", etc.
6. If I didn't wipe when I went #2 I wouldn't want to tell anybody that, and it's a secret. That's all a matter of opinion or personal experience, not everyone wants to share their secrets like some dumb gossipy female-dog.
7. Also not a bad riddle, I'll admit that I did not get this one.
8. You telling me that the casket-maker will NEVER EVER DIE EVER so he doesn't need a casket? I know if I made coffins I'd make a super sweet one for when I die 'cause I'd have an easy say in it, unlike if I'm dead. And of course the person using knew they'd be buried in a coffin for frunks sake that riddle is terrible.
9. ANTBEETLE- (plural ant beetles). A species of beetle that resembles a large ant, Thanasimus formicarius. An ant's an insect. A beetle's an insect. Oh wow, there's another open ended question. I'm sure if you used your imagination you can think of a frunk-ton more.
10. I like this riddle. I saw it on a TV show a while back, and still tell it today. 2/15 so far, guys.
11. Hinges. You can make the word hinges from English. There's another answer. Or, Lightyears. Lightyears is in English, too. That's longer than a mile. This question isn't very good.
12. A lot of things, really. Books, pencils, dolly carts, cats, dogs, ducks, dumbwaiters, drink coasters, etc. Use your feet. Or legs. Or head. Actually, don't put any animals on your head unless it's in raccoon hat form.
13. Sri Lanka exports a lot of tea. Sri Lanka's an island, right? These questions don't allow you to think much with your imagination.
14. There may be more answers to this, but I don't know. I don't know any of the top of my head, and to be honest, I couldn't answer this one either. After strolling down to the answers to check why I was so puzzled, I realized I was being bombarded with the worst dreck of an answer I've seen on this page. I believe what they were trying to say was: " ‘Startling’ is the word. Begin by removing ‘l’, which makes it ‘starting’, then take away the ‘t’, making it ‘staring’, and so on – string; sing; sin; in; and, I. "
15. Yawn, seen it before. Good riddle, I guess.
I rate this page 3/10 for effort. Not that there was much of it put into this in the first place. |
