Jenna I don't agree with a lot of this.. I don't agree that puppies need tail amputation because of their breed - why can't it be natural? Sometimes, I know years ago, people would do tail amputations because they needed dogs to work & tails were a safety hazard.. not so much today .. 2nd - Why isn't adopting from an animal shelter one of the options here? Over 1/4 of animals that are impounded in shelters are purebred. Most have had experience with families & are well tamed. I also don't think buying a puppy from a puppy mill is a very responsible thing to do. 9/10 have health problems, because they don't get taken care of.. at all .. & are stuck in cages & transported to other cages. Supporting mills just tells the owners to breed more because they think they're doing well business wise. I think you should re-think this page, we're living in an animal-friendly world now. Jasmine thanks a lot for the wonderfull tip and things I can do now for my dog during her beautifull pregnantcy and she will be glad to have a daughter or sun and she will have a good and first birth because a wonder lady like you helped her owners to take good care of her baby and her first birth in her wonderfull new life with her own babys she can be with now...we are thnking to give some of her puppies out but I think we shouldn't because I think it would but now I just don't know what to do because my brother says that I can't have a puupy and I always wanted a puppy ...SO what should I do? Del What do I do after the birth, should I place the pups and my dog in a box on or a confined area? She gave birth to 5 pups and 2 of the 5 seem to be left out on feedings and my dogs is watching. Is it normal for her not to pick the pup up and place them all in one area? 11/26/2007
