I think it is great to here from a creationist now a-days. If you think about it how could the world accidently come to be. In our universe there is such order and detail. And it seems that Darwin just cooked up this idea so that we could draw away from God's Word. Anyway in the beginning everybody believed in Creation. And we all should be cautious in what be believe. Remember God is a God of order.

Interesting that all above quotes date from 15 to 30 years ago, long before many of the major developments in genetic research (and therefore evolutionary theory) happened.
There is in fact a species whose evolution, over a period of four million years, is well known and documented. That animal is the horse. Another example is one much closer to home, one that has appeared on the news quite recently. MRSA or multiple resistant staphylococcus aureus. This is a bacterium that has evolved a resistance to the antibiotic drugs used to treat bacterial infections. Thats right, through the process of random variation in genetic identity one bacterium developed a gene(s) that was resistant to antibiotics and then divided and passed that gene on. That is the process of evolution. |

Evolution has been proved and can be actually seen. Evolution is a genetic change so when you say "it was all pure genetics there was no evolution involved at all" you are talking about evolution. It's good to challenge scientific theories but it should be done with some knowledge about them. |

Rob…if you only knew that I had the same questions as I did have serious doubts about God’s existence myself…to the point of not believing. It took me years to search in science and history…to find proof. I told you this, because I want you to know that I was in your shoes and reading an article can eventually bring more questions into your mind, but the very fact that you have questions is good, because it proves that you THINK!!! That’s great and I encourage you to continue and I am sure you are honest to weight the proofs given to you in an objective way, so I’ll let you do so.
What made me change my mind about evolution (besides that it takes more faith to believe evolution then it takes to believe in God) were: 1. the Prophecies-predictions about the future. Only the Bible contains exact predictions of the future (some are happening in our time, some have already taken place, some will in the future).The chances to predict so many events-over 300 of prophecies only about Jesus- plus many others regarding the times we live in made me give a serious thought. 2 The science in the Bible(I can tell so far that Bible is not against science at all…it is unfair to say they are against, on the contrary, they are confirmed more and more ) Yes Rob, the Earth rotates on its axes and by the way, did you know that the Bible stated the fact that the Earth was round standing on no nothing, long before science discovered it? 3 Jesus- was He a lunatic, a liar or God as He pretended to be? After years of research my conclusion is that He is God indeed.(please don’t get mad at me Before you prove it wrong…it is no use really…I told you, I didn’t believe it myself at first) 4 The Universe and our world…if we give a close look to the complexity of our world we can clearly see there is complex intelligence behind it all… Who made time, space and the earth, the first dust particle? Before (supposedly) the primordial explosion…who made the material so that first explosion could occur? So much matter in the Universe…each star unique. 5. My life – since I received Jesus in my life, He gave me special gifts beyond natural human abilities. I have visions, for instance when I pray I see like a dream or picture things that will happen. It is not my ability, God, Jesus gave it to me.
Ok, well I told you in broad lines why, after giving careful consideration to both, I believe Bible, God.
There is indeed a lot to talk about and to bring our proof for one thing or another. However, once more I have been in the evolutionists’ shoes…and it was not satisfying for me but it was a good point to start searching. Thank you for your comments, I really appreciate them, there is no progress without honest confrontation. All the best to you all and I am looking forward to hearing from you!

So what is your proof? Was it "poof" and one day God made it all so? You use science references to 'disprove' evolution, yet state no other sound explanation for the scientifically proven facts and historical record of how life has reached the point where it is today. By using the fossil record as 'disproof' you are asserting life on this planet goes well before the creation date of biblical statement. So exactly which parts of the creation story is one suppose to believe? It seems, you as many others (on both sides), select the thoughts and statements that seem to fit what you want to believe, disregard the rest and go on from there. One can have belief in evolution (there certainly is enough scientific evidence to do so) and have belief in God (there is certainly enough miracle in the stuff of life to do so). These ideas are not mutually exclusive. There is no one who can answer all the perplexing questions that remain (about both life and God). There is no one who can give exacting evidence of how it all got started, but it obviously did. There will forever be differences of opinion on all such matters. Your commentary leaves great room for discussion on both science and God. And, as most would agree, little likelihood for full agreement. |

Science in the bible, lol. Not one word in the bible is "science"
If you knew anything about science you would know that, besides look out at night and will see many stars, you dont think people looked up at night then, omg get real

God is the easy way to explain anything;
Example;
A father and son are watching a sunrise the little boy asks "daddy why does the sun rise" and the father says "because god makes it rise, son"
NOTHING learned.
If this dosnt shake your faith, then you are idiotic.
The right answer is, The earths rotates on its axis........................................... |

Hi, God said the Earth was round long before they all agreed...besides there is so much science in the Bible that has only recently been discovered by scientists(Hydrologic cycle (Ecclesiastes 1:7);Vast number of stars (Jeremiah 33:22);Law of increasing entropy (Psalm 102:25-27);Paramount importance of blood in life processes (Leviticus 17:11);Atmospheric circulation (Ecclesiastes 1:6);Gravitational field (Job 26:7)and many others. I can’t give you here all the examples but you will find if you want. |
