| Rita | Sara - here's a list of non-animal sources of protein: Protein in grains: Barley, Brown rice, Buckwheat, Millet, Oatmeal, Rye, Wheat germ, Wheat, hard red, Wild rice Protein in vegetables: Artichokes, Beets, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Green peas, Green pepper, Kale, Lettuce, Mushrooms, Mustard green, Onions, Potatoes, Spinach, Tomatoes, Turnip greens, Watercress, Yams, Zucchini Protein in fruits: Apple, Banana, Cantaloupe, Grape, Grapefruit, Honeydew melon, Orange, Papaya, Peach, Pear, Pineapple, Strawberry, Tangerine, Watermelon Protein in nuts and seeds: Almonds, Cashews, Filberts, Hemp Seeds, Peanuts, Pumpkin seeds, Sesame seeds, Sunflower seeds, Walnuts (black) Soy products like tofu are also high protein. ...Hope this helps. |

| Rita | hahaha - it is and it isn't. I have been on Atkins, and I lost weight phenomenally. I had more energy, I felt healthy - kept the weight off for a year. The trouble is the monotony - as I have explained in the article - that is what sabotages it. Anyway, I'm trying to get back on it again :) | 9/13/2007 |
