Sharon I have bees building a nest in my basement on the floor of a upstairs room. They purr at night and appear to be none agressive, but very active. Some die each day. They look like a small honey bee, black and brown/yellow. They are very fast at making their nest. It follows the floor, but does not hang down very far. What type bee do you think this is? 9/11/2007
