Carole E Unfortunately there is no proof that this refers to the GP at all, and it is now believed to be much older. The symptoms of the GP are not really synonymous to the poem and although certainly its understood the connections are similar it is possibly wise to research this further if a genuine study is to be had. 3/26/2010
