Philip Several months ago, I took my wife and young son to The Petsmart located by the Bridgewater Mall on adoption day sponsored by rawhide rescue, with the intent of looking for a dog to be adopted. Despite the indifferent and aloof attitude of the rescue representatives, I filled out their very lengthy form to adopt a puppy. The representatives would not provide me with any information, only saying that someone would get back to me. The representatives clearly had no real interest in encouraging the adoption of animals by "outsiders". We left there feeling strangely alienated, from what should have been a happy experience. My son asked over and over again, when would we find out, when could we get the dog. As we waited day by day, my son grew sad and slowly forgot about the dog. I provided telephone numbers, email address and home address. The rescue provided no means of contacting them. To this day, I have never received the courtesy of a response. The condescending, callous attitude of the representatives, and their lack of basic courtesy has left a bad taste in my mouth regarding the rawhide rescue. It is certainly not an organization to which I would make a donation or rrefer anyone else. They do a disservice to the poor animals they pretend to help. 9/3/2008
Judy I looking for a group to rescue a mistreated dog, I can't find anyone to call to help this poor animal. I keep going to these websites and all they do is ask you to buy or adopt a dog. I need to get this dog some help. 7/5/2008
