GSNA Dear Kerry Ng, Your passion for study on Omega-6 & Omega-3 and their beneficial effects on a variety of Disorders / Ailments / Diseases is highly appreciable, especially bcoz you are sharing your knowledge, and that is immensely useful for public at large suffering from various conditions. I am a Chronic Patient of Eczema / Psoriasis (All the dermatologists I have been treated by, have never authentically & authoritatively told me whether mine is Ecz. or P, even after Skin Punch Biopsy).

I have been suffering with this since my early childhood for the last 40 Years now. I - However - would like to strongly and very emphatically differ with your last few lines, where you mention that one should consult his / her Dermatologist as to how much of Flaxseed should be taken, and the Doc would be happy to advise. You are absolutely Off The Mark.

I am from India - & Flaxseed is Native to India as you would know - but whenever we approach the Docs. with very specific details on Alternative / Supplementary items, EVERY SINGLE ALLOPATHIC DERMATOLOGIST either outright dismisses it or creates a fear phycosis about such alternatives.

They all Chronically Suffer From The Fear Of Loss Of Allopathic System Of Medication, hence all of them have collectively decided to Outrightly dismiss any alternative System. This is my personal experince with Specialists Ranging From Orthos (Since I have undergone surgeries of AVN due to rampant prescription of Corticosteroids by the same Dermatologists' community), Dermatologists, to Allergy Specialists, to Psychiatrists & Psychotherapists.

Allopathic Practioners & Allopathic Pharmaceutical Manufacturers from Across the World form the Biggest cartel which is recession proof anywhich way.

Steve A. I had exzema for 6 years and used all different kinds of cremes and lotions and they all didn't work. I just lived with it. Then my dad told me to use Flax Oil to see if it would do anything. In less then three days I took the oil, as a liquid, and it was completely gone! I try to tell other people to use it but they won't believe me. They prefer to see a doctor to prescribe things that don't work. I feel bad for those people. 10/23/2009
