| Jacob T | One of the other problems is there is no universal or at least national standard for solar energy. So by investing in a company at this point is very risky, because if they go out of business their product will not be able to be matched by any other company and anyone that has invested in that company is out their initial investment money. This is another huge weakness of solar power and it probably wont take off until a standard is set. That will also lower the inital cost of the product, in turn more people will buy. | 8/26/2010 |
| Karl | Very nice! Just needs some grammar... | 6/11/2010 |
| Boofy | cool | 4/27/2010 |
| prince sinha | Respected Sir, I have a question in my mind about energy conservation in refinery. We can use solar energy as a heating media in distillation column instead of Reboiler ( where natural gas, coal are burned for getting steam. ) |

| Amanda | I think solar energy should be used more because all of these other chemicals that we use are killing this planet and harming our bodies from breathing in to much air pollution. Thank you for trying to protect our future generations. | 1/8/2009 |
| nontokozo | both solar power should be the main source of energu, but as the whether in unreliable; coal and other fossil feul power should always be on stand by | 10/29/2008 |

| Yehuda Draiman | THE NEW DAWN OF SOLAR A California firm "Nanosolar of San Jose" says it is producing solar panels for 30 cents per watt. If true, then a power plant made from these solar panels should produce electricity cheaper than a coal plant. Nanosolar’s cells use no silicon, and the company’s manufacturing process allows it to create cells that are as efficient as most commercial cells for as little as 30 cents a watt. "You’re talking about printing rolls of the stuff—printing it on the roofs of 18-wheeler trailers, printing it on garages, printing it wherever you want it," says Dan Kammen, founding director of the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory at the University of California at Berkeley. "It really is quite a big deal in terms of altering the way we think about solar and in inherently altering the economics of solar." |
