OmegaWolf747 Great article! Sounds a lot like Dr. Robert Epstein's The Case Against Adolescence. I think child labor laws and mandatory schooling need to be done away with. I think young people at 14 and 15 are indeed mature enough to be independent, but we have taken away all opportunities for this and have pigeon-holed them into artificial dependence and childhood. I mean crap, juniors and seniors aren't even allowed to leave school for lunch anymore in a lot of districts. Is there any wonder so many of today's teens are angry and depressed? 10/23/2007
Cameron D. dam straight. i'ma teen and find myself frustrated by our lack of resources and influence in the community. people complain of our disrespect and our outbursts and damage on society, well maybe if adults would give us a voice and allow us to decide things for us, not people who were teenagers way back when. 9/16/2007
