María Jesús Much of this information is erroneus. The King and goverment of Spain did not beleive or helped Colombus. It was Queen Isabel who did. She even sold her many of her possetions...
The Queen Isabel died while Colombus was in the New World. It was her husband the King, who was extremely jelous of Colombus and emprisoned him and he died in poverty...Something that Spain regrets should always be ashamed of.
