Much of this information is erroneus. The King and goverment of Spain did not beleive or helped Colombus. It was Queen Isabel who did. She even sold her many of her possetions...
The Queen Isabel died while Colombus was in the New World. It was her husband the King, who was extremely jelous of Colombus and emprisoned him and he died in poverty...Something that Spain regrets should always be ashamed of. Well, its seems like columbus did s very good job of corvering his indenity..the biography is very shallow. However, I must agree that this man had a passion and belived in his vision..he might also have raised contradiction about the new and the old world..and in any case was he really the first to discorver this lands..well I see the point, may be no one else from spain..now in this era for example the first african to be in europe can cliam to have discorvered euorope..I gues when u set your mind to do something then it is different from something you bump into... |
