| Sonic A. | just complete the expanded use option. They want to ensure you are in complete control of your aco and cards. They only charge you the 2.00 becasue that is what it cost them to send a unique number to your billing statment with the CC company. once you complete the process, you will be better protected and be back in action with the ability to send and receive money via paypal. as for the no reply, since it was an send only account it came from, the reply would never be seen so they inform you not to reply. You can always reach paypal by phone or by logging into your account and sending them a message regarding the issue but the phone is a much better method of communication with them. this is your only option for proceeding after you have "lost" your CC. I would suggest if you dont want to continue to have problems, you will keep track of your cards in the future. if you think this is a hassle, wait until the day you sell enough items to have them "request" you provide them all your suppliers, receipts, invoices, and related paperwork for the items you are selling for their review. this process often takes up to 30 days and they can and will do it to larger sellers. They want to make sure you are not stealing or otherwise obtaining suspicious items and selling them on ebay and using paypal to collect the funds for those items. having used paypal for over 10 years to collect over 5 million in sales proceeds, I have found them to be reasonable, fair, and otherwise professional in most cases. There are certain things which I would like to happen more quickly with them but they have a few customers to attend to :) so I cannot always be the first in line so I guess I can be more patient.. In the few cases of disputes with buyers and sellers, i have always been treated fairly and knock on wood have always come out the winner in all of the cases I have been involved in over the past decade. I have only had a very few cases of fraudulent buyers and most often paypal catches them and places a payment hold on the payment and returns them PRIOR to the items being shipped to the fraudulent buyers. These payment holds and payment reviews keep sellers safe and I am glad they have these new procedures in place to protect my business. Sorry to be so long winded but I would recommend you hang in there and be patient becasue paypal is very cost effective, convienent and secure in today's e-marketplace. Let me know if you have more questions I can help answer. Here is a bit more info on the expanded use process from a link I came across on the web. h t t p : / / pages . ebay . com . sg / paypalverified / verify . h t m l |

| Paul | I do about 80% of my software business online. I have recently considered switching from traditional credit card merchant agency to Paypal and got a paypal Business account application accepted. But lately I have learned of some problems with PayPal credit card processing. 1. Website "Auto Return" only works for credit card customers that have a PayPal account. 2. There are occasional interruptions to credit card payments with PayPal - which DO NOT HAPPEN with traditional credit card merchant accounts - like more frequent refusal of CC payments or occasionally demand Expanded Use Fee for credit card use by PayPal members. 3. Difficult, annoying credit card payment process where a payer is badgered to use or join PayPal. This has discouraged me enough to decide to roll back my PayPal Business account application and stay with my traditional merchant credit card system which charges monthly fees. I wish PayPal would be up front with the problems mentioned above (and possibly other problems I did not discover yet) so that I did not have to go to all the work I did. Using Paypal would put me in awkward situation with my corporate and government customers who do not care about joining PayPal - regardless of PayPal "security" buzzword. If PayPal could fix at 3 factors mentioned above - and related ones - I would glad to consider PayPal again. |

| Unknown reader | from all your contributions, you must be a "poor-me-victim", and all of the world is so bad. This is the unconscious state of humanity, you are a good example. |
