99% of bodybuilders and fitness trainers are under the assumption that in order to gain weight and build muscle mass that you must become stronger in the weight that you lift. This article proves that myth wrong.

thomas I agree with what you say but power lifters might not gain the muscle quickly but at least its fuctional muscle. Powerlifters when compared to bodybuilders look denser (which they are) even when not tensed. But using heaver weights coupled with low reps burns less calories then bodybuilding regime explain why bodybuilders looks better. If you want look real good (and be strong) use low reps with HIIT training. bodybuilders are now using pwerlifting techniques cause powerlfiters in low weight classes look better then bodybuilders. Dorian, Franco and Arnold who was beaten by a guy who did power lifting in a bodybuilding contest cause arni just looked to soft.(he came back next year after training hevay to beat him). So dont fall into the hype powerlifters are fat. that only falls when their is no weight catorgory so it doesnt matter how trim you are. Plus who wants to be super big without the strength or power to back it up. 3/20/2009
