Ryan I've got Kennedy's back. I like what he said. As a white dude, I was a victim of affirmative action in the UC system in 1999. Segregating based on race, even for an altruistic reason, is wrong and will only serve to embitter those being segregated against. Affirmative Action has only served to deepen racial lines in California since the early 1990s. In the 70s, when it was needed, it was OK but quickly became obsolete. 6/29/2007
paul African Americans have been given special citizen status for more than 40 yers. They now believe the ARE special citizens and ENTITLED to status. If we really are ALL equal then they must accept non-special status and accept actual EQUALITY with the rest of us. More importantly so must our government. 6/29/2007
--Ross Beyer wouldn't be so quick to support Brown if he had to take a 3 hour bus ride to work every day, wake up dude it's not 1954 anymore, we have a Black and a Women running for President; times have changed and the Laws need to change to, Brown was never meant to be perminate. 6/29/2007
