Caron Gilbert I think Oscar Pistorius is brave and courageous and nothing will dampen that spirit. To much hype is being made of the race and I personally think that as long as Oscar is able to give a good account of himself we the watching public will be subjected to the most extraordinary subject of triumph over adversity. Mr. Pistorius you should be extremely proud of your son and so should your fellow country men. I am British and have watched the last two visa world cups and have noted just how much it is Oscar who uses the legs to his advantage and not the other way round. He should be in the Olympics next year. 7/2/2007
Henke Pistorius Can we move away from the names "able body" & "disable" runners? There is nothing disable about Oscar, never has been. The shape of the "model" Oscar Pistorius "was made" the way he is! Oscar is "DIFFERENTLY ABLE", not disable. Such a crippling word, so disable!!
May we also refer to the "Open Competition", rather than able body competition?!

Heidi Drew It is a pity that so much 'hype' is surrounding this race - Oscar Pistorius is a young man without feet, ankle's or calve muscles - however he has a spirit to be reckoned with. Let's hope that Oscar's race on 15th July in Sheffield will not erupt into a circus. My prayers and best wishes to one of the bravest - Oscar Pistorius 7/2/2007
