so Scientific breakthrough for animals must mean safe life of an animal. If no animals' lives are saved, it means a wrong thinking. How Xiang XIang's death means success in animal science and lead to future scientific successes if scientists still think wrongly. Please consider this. Pandas are endangered in nature. That's why panda research centers are set up. Caviity is in fact an alternative to save endangered pandas' lives. It is highly risky for pandas to extinct if they are in wild only. Sctists should have not released Xiang Xiang into wild forest again when they started to know that Xiang Xiang could not get along with wild pandas. If wild pandas all died, for example, from 2008 earthquake, the world still has pandas in cavitiy and use them to breed newborn pandas. . Habitat loss and poaching reduces wild pandas. So panda cavitiy is a means to save panda biological cells in sudden replacement of any immiment death of all wild pandas. Please consider the main reason for panda cativity, and follow that reason. Sudden release of captive panda into wild means death or extintion of species. Sudden release of it could be done on condition that you raised a panda in a similar wild environment from the beginning. But because of its reduced number, we should now think of saving their lives first not to release captive pandas into wild. The first priority of pandas is to save its biological cells. Cavitiy is necessary. 6/20/2009
