Romero The Old Testament was just to impose a way of thinking (Brainwash) with the better ideas and examples that were there around, very clever the Jewish people, with their crap of the chosen one! Unfortunately, the western culture took most of those fairytales and adds a few more, is unbelievable... Could you imagine where we could be now, with more that one thousand years without interruption in our science and technology.

I don’t believe in god, but thanks "God" I was born in a western society.

Jay The ancient Greeks were well aware that the earth was a globe and a number of Greeks hypothesized that the earth revolved around the sun hundreds of years before the alleged birth of Christ. Further, there is absolutely no evidence to support the Christian creationist theory of the origin or life or the process of speciation. None, zero, zip. By contrast, the fact of Darwinian evolution has been continuously validated by scientists for over 150 years. The Bible is nothing more than a sometimes pleasant fairy tale interspersed with horrific stories of a hateful God mostly interested in wreaking vengence upon anyone or any tribe that fails to worship him. Your religion has slaughtered and converted millions of people throughout the ages and nothing in your Bible makes any sense. Plus there are many different versions to the Bible and the ancient Hebrew scriptures are very much different. Most of the material can't even be translated to modern understanding. He probably have no qualification in linguistic, interpretation or any known logical systematic field of study. You're just another Bible brainwashed uneducated ignorant fool! Let me educate, you? 1. Easter didn't come from Christianity. It is based upon a more widened concept. Word ''Easter'' comes from Great Mother Goddess of the Saxon people in Northern Europe. Easter means Ostara a Norse Goddess of fertility) Easter is based upon the principles if "Life, rebirth". These principles existed way before Jesus' time. It resembled the cycle of nature and rebirth.

It was celebrated by the Ancient Norse people after they migrated from Indo-Europe. It was celebrated to reflect the cycle of nature and the winter season.

3. Halloween was also a norse holiday. It celebrated the cycle of the year where the doorway of physical and non-physical merge together. It also origin from Celtics.

4. Your Valentines Day was a pagan holiday, which was in referrence to Saint Valentine. He was a pagan and a warrior for the catholic church, until your religion murdered him. Ages later modern pagans turned it into a holiday embracing Love and affection.

6. Buddha and Jesus were both tempted by the Devil/Satan at the beginning of

"Devil: Get you away from me."

7. Both experienced the supernatural after the Devil/Satan left (Buddha "The
skies rained flowers, and delicious odors prevailed [in] the air."; Jesus
"angels came and ministered to him.")

8. "Buddha taught that the motive of all our actions should be pity or love of
our neighbor."; Jesus taught: "...love your enemies and pray for those who
persecute you"

9. The multitudes required a sign from both in order that they might believe.

10. Both strove to establish a kingdom of heaven on earth.

Well what proof do you have of your one God existing?

Also, there is a LOT of proof of Jesus going to the east and learning from
Buddhist Monks. A man who matches Jesus' description is recorded in Buddhsit
Monistaries in Tibet to have visited the area between 1CE and 8CE. Which would
put the timeframe right within the period of time in the Bible that has a large,
large gap of Jesus' life missing.

You speak very little logic, inaccurate facts and you lack common sense. The first principle of the original source and creator was known as 'Great Spirit'; not God. God is a name which was made up by TYRANTS.

Hmm. Evolution is incoherent? Are you nutts?. Let me guess; you're probably one of those ignorant Christians who thinks evolution is the process of evolving from Apes? False. Even the Vatican accepts the thoey of evolution.

Evolution has really nothing to do with evolving from Apes, all though their is some hypotheses of that. That is considered Macro-evolution and there is a fine line between Macro and Micro evolution. Micro-evolution is a proven theory which is
observable. Micro-evolution has to do with the "Organic living organisms" which has the ability to adapt, change and grow and bond do to its natural environments.
During this process when a living organism of an earlier generation gives its traits of information to its OFFSPRING; a mutation can occur during this process.

Evolution is the process of 'Change', bonding with other types of molecular
structures, which and being able to adapt within its environments. Therefore,
evolution is based upon understanding of an entity that which adapts to its
environments; through this, mutation occurs. And mutation is the process of change of a living organism.

Evolution has really nothing to do with; "Humans Evolving from Apes"; but a genetic mutation which takes place on the micro level.

God sculped everything? That is a very weak argument. Any natural phenomenon can do craft the fabric of the universe. Did you know that a high qualified Catholic Priest Monsignor Georges Lemaître. He was also a scientist. He had more common sense then you people.

Why is it that you Christians are all about love but you show little of it? Being charitable isn't love. The majority of individuals become charitable based on Self-Interest. Love is unconditional.

If you think I'm an Athiest giving you a hard time, you're WRONG. I'm very spiritual. I'm just speaking the truth. You knowl religion is an organized belief that conditions people. Conditions takes away freedom and freedom is the core of spirituality. Religion actually compromises spiritual growth.

I'll make you a wager. If you keep this post here then that will show me that you aren't like the other dogmatics who are just twisting the truth. It will show your God that you accept all walks of life and aren't afraid to hear the truth from a different perspective. If not, you're just a subject to conditions and lies.

To describe people small as grasshoppers, you must not go to far up, just slightly up a hill and from that view you can see the circle of the earth and the heaven (sky) as a curtain.

Ruiner Evolution is an expired theory? In the past 10+ years it has been proven to be most definitely true. Slight evolutionary changes have been monitored in guppies and other fish depending upon which environment they exist in in as little as three generations. Humans are 96% identical to chimpanzees based on the genome. Also, just because you can misquote and take parts of the bible out of context does not make truth. Your Isiah 40:22 quote for example does not imply that the earth is a sphere, but instead is a mistranslation and a archaic reference to a flat, circular world as depicted in maps of all civilizations from 900 BC to 1000 AD. Lastly, this statement is a complete farce, "However, at first, astrologists counted as many stars as they could see with the naked eye (from around 1000 to 3000 stars)." If one were to observe all the stars away from a city over the course of the night it would number closer to 10,000 and this is a modern estimate, ancient culture didn't have widespread pollution and millions of lights obscuring the view. Perhaps you should truly examine the bible in its original context and not assume a biased view from the beginning. 3/28/2010

theebz The scientific evidence provided in this article to support the Bible, was well documented a few thousand years before by the Sumerian civilisation. This was nothing new! Much of the Bible originated from Sumerian scripts and much of todays Bible, after being 'revised' countless times, has been completely misinterpreted and manipulated. Ian Nelson It would be senseless to make up Jesus the person, it could be easily proven that he did not exist if he didn't, so the fact that Jesus was in fact real is by no means a convincing arguement for the Bible to be true. The fact of the matter is that supernatural abilities such as walking on water are mythical and can not be done. If you'd like to test the true power of God why not ask him to regrow someones arm of leg that they have lost, something simply impossible, rather than ask him to cure another ailment that is cureable by human means. I do not blame the desperate people who wrote the stories of the Bible, as you yourself said there were over 300 prophecies saying it was going to happen, and if they didn't...

Besides, even if God, angels, the Devil etc are all true, then you have to say all the historical evidence proving the existance of the prophet Muhammad and his great divinity is all lies, and that the arch angel Gabriel did NOT visit him and tell him that jesus was not the son of God.
