dachosen1 I agree with O, out of courtesy, Vernon should have told his dauther that he was writting a book about her. In my opinon, i think vernon is writting this book for personal gain and to get a raise from the media. think about it, WHY ELSE WOULD THE FATHER OF THE MOST POWER WOMAN IN TELEVISION WRITE A BOOK ABOUT HER LIFE! I have said this all my life, FAMILY WILL ALWAYS BE THE ONE(S) IN YOUR LIFE TO FIND FAULT IN YOUR SUCCESS AND LATER THROUGH YOUR PAST UP IN YOUR FACE... to Oprah Winfrey, you have changes the lives of hundreds, NO Millinos of people with your show, god has blessed you in ways unimagineable, this book may even bother you a bit, but the Oprah Winfrey we all know will never qiut.. you have fought bigger battles before, not quite as sensitive as this one, but you will get thought it! Congradulations on OWN and I pray that all remains well..

Valerie Cooper I think Oprah is a very successful woman but I can understand why she's upset. She is Oprah Winfrey and we as humans sometimes overlook famous people. Oprah has feelings just like the next person and she has every right to be distrub. 6/6/2010
Dee Taylor This is her father and there should be an undenieable trust level that cannot be broken by anyone and for any amount of money. What is his motivation? She has given him credit for changing her life and being a strong force for her and now he is seemingly protraying her? I don't understand what he's after. And she has been a strong supporter of him both financially and trustwise. What is the problem? Does he feel that he deserves more? 5/23/2009
