After a bungled attempt to outlaw alcohol, municipal officials in Istanbul have set their sights on billboard advertisements of the skimpy swimsuit.

Titus The islamist are going out of their way to intimidate the secularists. They are wearing turbans and scowling at people who don't, and the sick thing is that the Eurpoeans support the Islamists. As an American I find countires like Britain and Germany that tax people on behalf of the churches and supporting islamist to be no better than Osama or Falwell. 5/24/2007
Metin Korkmaz This is very biased. You cannot put those proposed ads on most (if not any) of the US city billboards. Also, the mayor explained that there is no ban for swimsuit ads. Some people are trying to ruin the ruling party's credibility, and that's what this is all about. 5/22/2007
