Jackson Hobbs	I think this article is excellent and really gives the main reasons of why uniforms are beneficial in a terrifc way, but i do have one disgreement to one of the Pros listed. Number 2 states that teachers do not have to play police and look out for students but coming from a uniform school myself i can honestly say this is not true. Teachers actually still have to play police and see if studetns are wearing there proper uniform, and have to deal with issues like sutdents rierding up their kilts to high. I must say teachers have more of a hassle with uniforms, becasue students are trying to find any way to stand out and therefore statement 2 is not true.	4/9/2011

Liza Avellanet	I compeltely agree with her. I grew up in a country that had public school wearing uniforms for decades, and it's not half as bad as teenagers in the states make it seem like. You go to school looking the same everydya, but when you go out you get to dress and look your best, and thus, making an impression. Plus, parents always benefit from buying or selling of preowned uniforms. Most of them just give them away. It's already hard enough to feel lilke you cant afford expensive shoes, accesories and school supplies to have to worry about what to wear on a daily baisis and if it's following the school regulations.	6/17/2010

Cherise	I think school uniform is a good idea although i didn't at first. My school was the last in Edinburgh to get a school uniform so when it came along i felt that we had been fourced to be the same as every other school. Saying that, now that we have school uniform it has made a lot of things easier such as deciding what to wear to an extent. We have a simple black cardigan, black trousers, white shirt and red tie with the logo of our school on it. Although i didn't believe it would it actually prevented a lot of bullying and took away some of the bad reputation of our school making us less judged. It also, in my case anyway, has made me appreciate more the clothes i wear everyday.	3/5/2010
Groovingal	well im student and this part of some GCSE coursework, so this is what i think of school unifrms... first of all, they kepp us students equal, and prevent less bullying. it helps concentrate on our studies and helps us get good grades in exams and other important exams, e.g. GCSE like im doing... it's also easier to get ready in the mornings and we don't have to spend precious time on deciding on what to wear in the mornings on school days... most importantly it helps create a sense of belonging to the school you go to, e.g. if someone fromt he public sees you wearing a top with your school symbol on it, they will know what school you study in. these are some fo my reasons why school uniforms are GREAT!	3/4/2010

Richard	School uniforms cramp the style of gang members. They have to recognize each other by names and faces instead of by flaunting aggressively painted jackets, T-shirts with obscene messages, clunky jewelry, and things like that. Instead of ‘my gang’ and ‘your gang’, they also have to think in terms of ‘our school’. It’s a hard life. (: Cherise :)	I think that school uniforms can be a good idea. But it takes away the fredom for a person to exspress his or her self. What you wear often times reflects the kind of person you are at home and in public. I do think that school dress codes are good at my school Chamberlin middle school we have to wear fingure tip short/skirts and we have to have three fingure length shirts long ways. This is a good idea for keeping yourself out of the bad catigory of being called verbal names. If you are not following the dress code you are punished and usually have to call home for apropreate clothes. But in my opinion i dont think that school uniforms are nessisary to a school or their reputation. I do think that how you represent or portray yourself reflects on your school. Gregg	i personally tink that school violence cant be helped with an outfit! i know when i was in high school there were a lot of dress code violations and school uniforms could of helped! when teachers dont have to pose as "fashion police" they can focus on more important things such as gangs, drugs, and school fights! uniforms can be expensive but are a better security system than other things! how can you take a learning enviroment seriously when even your teachers look like slobs? personality is key and can be achived in many ways trew the uniform! there can be plenty of options like different colors per grade, adding acsessories and many other things! it would cut out the hassle of getting dressed in the morning and making fun of other students, which happens very often in a middle school or high school enviroment!	1/12/2009
Kaeli	I think that school uniforms are a good idea. They keep kids from being teased by their clothing and the kids don't really think about their cloths during school as much. prayyy	I am ALL FOR school uniforms. I went to public school from k-8 and just transferred to a private boarding school this fall, Baylor. I think our uniform is actually kind of cute compared to some. We have a grey skirt option, a khaki skirt option, and a plaid skirt option, and all 3 colors also come in skorts, and we also have pants, though nobody wears them. We have white, grey, or red polo shirts purchased from the school that we wear Tues-Friday and a white or blue button up dress shirt, short, long, or 3/4 sleeved. All clothing is bought from the school, we are allowed to wear sweatshirts with the school emblem or fleece jackets without hoods, and any shoes we like with visible socks. We have all the freedom we want to express ourselves with shoes and socks and whatever color fleece pullover or raincoat, and whatever backpack.I don't feel oppressed by our uniform whatsoever, it's almost a relief to not have to think about getting dressed, and you only have to buy one of each color in all the clothing, and you're set for the year. Because you only wear 'nice/normal clothes' on the weekend, you buy much less, as the clothes you wear after class are usually ratty athletic clothes. I love uniforms.	12/22/2008

Teresa	I feel that school uniforms should be in all schools. One reason is it will stop all the peer pressure about what you have on. Another thing is I have a teenager, and it takes her 30 mins in the morning to decide what she is going to wear. I go to school in the mornings to and I beat her getting dress.
