Multiple sclerosis is a disease that restricts the brain from sending proper signals / communicating with the rest of the body. It is a gradually progressing disease that begins in between ages 20 and 50. There is no perfect treatment for multiple sclerosis due to its complexity.

Debbie What I would like to know is whether MS symptoms whether severe or mild are constant in everyday life, or can you be perfectly normal one day and bed ridden the next? 1/9/2009
JB in Florida Not all people who have Multiple Sclerosis have optic neuritis as described in your section outlining early symptoms. I have had MS for 8 years and never experienced optic symptoms. 5/20/2007
