| Lee | "Newborn constipation is very rarely heard of because the toddlers are almost always breastfed." REALLY? And where did you find the statistics to back this statement? I had to formula feed my baby because of medical issues, and I know many other mothers who have chosen to or had to formula feed. If people rarely formula feed - why are there so many brands and varieties of formula all over the shelves at Walmart? | 3/17/2010 |
| JASMINE GODBEE | My son is 5 months old and has suffered severe constipation since he was 12 days old after i had to bottle feed him formula .his poo is like pellets and very black, no blood! wat do i do i am waiting on him seeing a pediatrition and its taking months. i have tryed everything, diff formiula, juice, water, brown sugar n water, warm baths, massaging his belly, coloxyl , started him on solids at 3 months and its made him worse i give him plenty of fruit. | Lena | Junk food and candy are in no way good for kids nor anybody! Keep them away from it as long as you can. "a little is good for them" that comment is ridiculous. A little is still bad for them! Since when are chemicals, preservatives, coloring, non-organic, GMOs, good for you? " It keeps them happy" I can't believe you put that in your article! You don't give junk to a child to keep him/her happy. You are sending out the wrong message. Rethink...rewrite! |

| Katya | It is a very nice statement about visiting pediatrician after 2 days. Our pediatrician advices us to give more fiber to prevent constipation. We thought we found good one, but now we are changing our opinion about her. Unfortunately, visiting pediatrician not always solving the problem, but adding more to it - our pediatrician is certified, but turns out to be totally useless with basic food advises. She advised me NOT to give carrot juice to my 10 month old boy, because it causes constipation. Why should we even bother to have a pediatrician? | 4/14/2009 |

| Brianne Smith | My baby is 5 months old. I breast feed and about 1 month ago I started her on stage one baby foods. She won't poop for days at a time. One time it was 8 days and I gave her a suppository. After the suppository she pooped, but it wasn't hard poop it was very soft. She is still not going to the bathroom. The dr. says to wait 7 days to give her a suppository, but she seems like she is in alot of pain. I have given her juices, water, vegetables, even prunes. I have to wait 4 weeks to see a GI specialist. They did an abdominal x ray and so far everything checks out fine. |

| Jo Ann Greene | Mr grandaughter just turned 1 month old today. She has had problems with constipation since birth. She is always crying and attempting to push as hard as she can. Her stool is usually very hard, once she goes. Her doctor states that this is normal. I don't understand!! | 6/11/2007 |
