Zakko	Hi I've eaten flake "shark" 4-5 days a week for about 3 or 4 months because it was the only good food near my work, I've noticed hair thinning on my head, and occasionally a tingling sensation on my face/head/arm. Occasional hot flushes, and sometimes unexplained heat rash on my neck/throat. Just wondering if you think this could be mercury poisoning, and if so how do I rid myself of it? And once I am cured of it, will I regrow my hair to it's nice healthy thick old self? Do GPs perform mercury poisoning tests?	9/12/2011

Nancy Bennett	I wanted to mention that Chelation is the only thing that has helped me after being poisoned with mercury amalgam fillings. I was a dental assistant and was very ill for many years. I also had all the mercury 55% - in the amalgam, removed and white composite replacing them. My Dentist used oxygen so I would not have any mercury contamination while removing them. It has taken years to get over the side effects of mercury amalgam fillings. I have taken chelation from a Medical Dr. . It has taken years to get rid of the mercury in my body, but I am beginning to feel like the brain fog and memory problems are leaving. I Thank the Lord for Doctors who have studied chelation. E. Baker	Whilst in hospital in 1996 I myself had a mercury thermometer break in my mouth. Despite telling the nurse who had placed it that it had broken in my mouth she just made a noise of disgust and walked away. No-one came to see me about the incident and I have since suffered just about all the things listed - gross dental decay, short-term memory problems and sleeping difficulties probably being the worst of them. Lacey Cates	I went years without dental care due to lack of insurance and financial means. Recently I was able to have a lot of dental work done, first done was a medicated(pulp) filling. Then 4 amalgam fillings in 1 day. The weeks following the 4 fillings have been HECK! I have loose stools & stomach upset. I feel tired all the time, to the point I feel its safe to say I have extreme fatigue. I've had emotional ups & downs. Angry,happy,depressed,lack of social interest. The list goes on & on. I spoke with my dentist & of course he claims these fillings are completely safe and none of his schooling or conferences he's been to have noted amalgam being problematic. He's my dentist! And my body isn't lying to me, or making me ill for no reason. My gut says listen to your body but society says having teeth is a proper must. I'm torn. Hoping the illness will go away with time, or having all my teeth removed, waste all the funds put in my dental work, concur more costs having dentures at the young age of 40. Angela	I learned so much from your article and found it extremely helpful. Ive been very sick for 6 years since having my fillings put in. I told my dentist at the time I wanted the white fillings, she said she would do my front teeth that showed in the white fillings but insisted on the silver fillings in the back. I've had to get all my bottom molars that I chew with pulled at different times because of infection and have 1 top left and 2 top right molars with the silver that are infected. At age 38 I have to use my gums to chew with and my front teeth are coming apart from the gums. I have almost every symptom that's mentioned and am asking my Dr. for a blood test for mercury poisoning on my appointment. Doris Paxton	I recently came into contact with mercury. I didn't know it was as dangerous as it is. I knew not to touch it or let it touch me but was unaware that vapors are emitted from it. I recovered a large amount of it from the living room floor of a friends house. I did not wear any protective clothing or a mask but I thought I was being careful. Shortly afterwards ( days) and in the past 4 months have experienced changes in me and my health that were new and uncommon for me. My feet swelled up for 4 days. I've gained 12 pounds and my vision has begun deteriorating, especially in my left eye. My mind doesn't work the way it used to and I felt dizzy everyday for a couple of weeks. I would like to have a sample of my hair tested but I know that kind of test could be expensive not to mention the cost of the products used to treat or remove the heavy metal poison from my body. Melanie Van Wyh	To all those who think it is just a conspiracy theory--it might be hard to understand until you have personally experieced it, but then you have no doubt. I had numbing and tingling in my legs and headaches my whole life, but after my fillings were removed those symptoms went away. Scientific proof doesn't count in reality because many studies are just not done or researched because of the heavy politics on the matter--but it has been proved. Just think what would happen if the FDA would admit mercury does come out of the fillings and is making us all sick--there would be enough law suits till the end of time. sila	thanks for this! you wrote an excellent article, and i appreciate being able to find out exactly what i wanted to know about the physical effects of mercury toxicity without having to search for and read through a bunch of webpages. several of my cats' gums and teeth have been problems since they were kittens. i know that mercury is a component ingredient in some vaccines, and i believe all of our cats have been vaccinated (some more heavily than others b/c of humane society/rescue group regulations). anyway, recently we made the mistake of vaccinating a stray kitten of ours at our vet. our kitten ended up having severe vaccine reactions and we felt so horrible for putting her through it. especially since we've now found a vet who doesn't believe in them. for others who may come across this, look to homeopathy (as in homeopathic (not herbal) medicine) and classic homeopaths (for humans) for help in mercury-related toxicity. vet homeopaths usually have way less training.	9/7/2010

This happened almost 7 months ago. I went to Drs and neurologists and they all told me I had MS. So on the advise of a friend I went to see a naturepath who had me tested for mercury poisoning my results came back saying I am 3 times higher then the "safe " limit in mercury and almost 4 times higher in lead. Dean	To all of you out there experiencing these sympoms, I can catagoricaly say that Mercury does leak out of fillings in the form of mercury vapour which is the most harmful kind. Whenever you chew chewing gum, or drink a hot drink, these vapours are released. Only in minute quantities but over a long period of many years, it all adds up. You'll notice that the size of the fillings decrease in size say over 6-7 years. And that has disapeared as vapour. Dr. Hal Huggins is a researcher in the field and has written a book on the subject called 'It's all in your head'. I bought this book and what i read amazed me. I too had been experiencing many of the smptoms listed here on this forum and after reading it along with doing my own research decided to have them taken out, but only with the recommended protocol Dr. Huggins instructed. There are only a few of these dentists practicing in the UK, but apparently a lot more in the USA. If your dentist does not take them out in the correct way, they will expose you to massive amounts of mercury in the extraction. making your symptons much much worse and much harder to reverse. Your mouth needs to be protected and the dentist needs to use a high-speed drill with water cooling which prevents the vapours from escaping, you also need to have a seperate oxygen supply for your nose while this is all going on. I CANNOT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS THAT YOU DO NOT USE YUOUR REGULAR DENTIST TO TAKE YOUR FILLINGS OUT. THEY HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO BELIEVE THAT AMALGAM FILLINGS ARE PERFECTLY FINE AND POSE NO HEALTH RISK. (which is unbelievable when you consider the fact that when a dentist disposes of any amalgam material, they need to do so treating the substance as toxic wast!) After I had them replaced with composite fillings, I noticed an immediate change physically where I no longer had continuous muscle tremors. Over the next few weeks, I noticed a very measurable amount of energy return and the mind-foginess slowly cleared. I swear, if I carried on the way I was, I really do not know what I would have done. 5 years later and I still do not feel 100 percent, I definately feel that I need to start a detox program because I am sure that the mercury is still in my system. I am just so glad knowing that I do not have any more of that poison being released into my body, and my symptoms have massively decreased, and of cousre I thank God thet my energy levels have normilised for the most part and mind is a heck of a lot clearer. I am writing this because I know first hand how I feels to have doctors constantly dismissing you because thay can find nothing wrong with you. It is enough to send you crazy given enough time. I know I felt like I was losing the plot, for a long time. Mercury is poisonous and it IS released by Amalgam fillings. Forget what any doctor or dentist tells you. The cost of having them out is nothing in comparison to how I felt and the health benefits I reaped after having them out. Please, if you do decide to have them out, please refer to Dr. Hal Huggins' protocol, you can probably find it online, on his website or even buy the book from Amazon for a few quid. It'll be one of the best investments you ever made. Jasmine	I used a detox liquid called HMD and it was amazing! I had to start off slower then the recommended dose and I would suggest those who have high levels to do so as well. Alex Chandler	I thought I had mercury poisoning once, turns out I actually had arsenic poisoning. I ended up getting a few tests done to verify. Adrian.	There is no doubt in my mind that my deteriorating health is due to the 18 amalgam fillings I have had for nearly 50 years. momonamission	Just starting to look into this theory regarding mercury and thimerisol. I had several teeth filled during my preganancy as well as a root canal and wonder if there is a heavy metal connection to my son's autism. I can't say that all his symptoms started when he got his immunizations, but that is the time when he became more withdrawn, began having receptive/expressive speech and language difficulties, and began "stimming" and lining up his toys as well as becoming very hyperactive. I am also investigating this for my own health issues related to neuro issues that are exacerbating but seemed to have started with some problems with teeth and their manipulation/cleaning, etc. Might be sensitive to the mercury amalgams or coincidence...but am trying to draw a connection between the appointments and onset of symptoms over time. There is NO SCIENTIFIC PROOF that amalgam dental fillings and/or vaccines cause mercury poisoning. There are dentists that con their patients into thinking they need to replace their amalgam fillings with tooth colored composit fillings. Your amalgam fillings are safe. Dr.S.Cottingham	Dear David, When neurotoxins damage a developing brain, the damage is permanent. At age 5 through 10, your brain was finished the early stages, but would still have been to some degree "under construction". You should still monitor your toxin intake now, and work with a medical doctor or naturopath chelate what you can. DAVID,CARMEL	WHEN I WAS 5 THRIUGH 10YRS OF AGE I HAD FOUND A SMALL MASON JAR FULL OF LIQUID MERCURY. I SPENT MANY HOURS DURING THAT 5 YR PERIOD PLAYING WITH IT. COATING COINS ETC. I REMEMBER PLAYING WITH IT TIL MY FINGERS TURNED BLACK. PUTTING THE COINS IN MY MOUTH. I AM NOW 62. I AM AN ALCHOLIC WORKING THE 12 STEP PROGRAM. I JUST READ THE SYSTEMS. I KNOW NOW WHY I HAD LEARNING PROBLEMS IN MY YOUNGER YEARS PLUS MY UNCONTROLED ANGER. MY QUESTION IS, ARE THOSE SYSTEMS A PERMINIENT DEFECT THAT HAS PLAGUED ME ALL THESE YEARS OR DO THE SYSTEMS CORRECT THEMSELVES AFTER A FEW YEARS AFTER HAVING NO CONTACT WITH MERCURY	5/3/2009
Tracy Knowles	I think it stinks that people can put dangerous chemicals and toxins in our food, immunisatons, mouths (dental fillings), products we use all for monetary gain! Are the pharmaceutical companies and governments behind it all to raise revenue and treat us all like guinea pigs! susan radosnky	I worked as a dental nurse starting in the eaarly 60s for 12 yeaars. I prepared the amalgam fillings by combining mercury and alloys. Every year or so I remember my watch strap would 'corrode' and break. It took me awhile to learn it was the affinity for the gold that the mercury had. Chris F	I have been an in sulin dependant diabetic for over 18 years now! I discovered that I had mercury poisioning and went to my Natural path doctor cause my other one tells me that I am Bi-Polor. At my NPD we did a technique called the white wind meditation. You will not belive this but it takes only 2 minuties to do and I have been free of mercury ever since. The amazing thing however is I no longer take insulin via injection I am totaly 100% cured! I owe my sanity to my NPD. Su Leybourn	I have 10 old mercury fillings in my lower teeth going back at least 45 years. In the last 9 months I have become very depressed and anxious for no known reason. It probably has gone on longer 'cos I have felt myself on a decline that I cannot stop. I cannot sleep. I pace up and down and night watching the clock every night. I break out into sweat. The metallic taste in my mouth becomes so overbearing that I gulp milk to relieve the affect. I know that this is not me. Daniel Gontar	This article doesnt mention apparently that they have put Mercury in various vaccines (for both children and adults, such as the flu vaccine, but mainly for vaccines given to children). Most cases involving these symptoms can be shown to be directly caused by the mercury in vaccines. A large number of young people in the population have some of these symptoms. One more thing. Maureen	I have been under a Drs. care to rid my body of high levels of mercury poisoing. In the spring of 2007 there was an article in Self Magazine about the dangers of mercury in pregnant women. The article said it could cause birth defects in pregnant women and mentioned deafness. I did have a daughter who was born deaf in one ear. If anyone is looking for research on the subject of mercury and how it can relate to birth defects I would share my levels for any research on this subject.	2/3/2008
Michele	In relation to the many years of symptoms and lack of knowledge from doctors, I was admitted to hospital for the upteenth time with my right leg completely shut down and no ability to move it or walk. The cause found after years of tests for MS and viruses was Mercury Poisioning. I had no diagnosis only gut feelings about my teeth being the problem, so started an a very expensive and long process of removal of eight fillings two which were leaking into my system for many years. Since removal and slow detox methods under a naturopathy, Im 100% and the nerves system healing so I could walk again, swim and hike.
