At least a writer that illuminates rather then confuses on the Middle East and Turkey, a great country it was and changing with the rising Islamism: the recent,’Bible murders’, attempt to restrict or ban alcohol consumption, the huge taxes on our Anatolian wines, the pressure on women to cover themselves etc. It seems the French Riviera is the place to settle now according to my Christian Aramaean friend from Turkey. With the islamist government it seems, France wins, Turkey looses. Colonialism wins, and our dream for peace at home and the world fades.
As for the headscarves, similarly to the gays and Jews at the hands of the rising racist society in Germany 70 years ago, that were pressured to wear a symbol on their coats outside their homes, the reason for a Turkish woman to start wearing a headscarf today comes down to her surrounding’s pressure.
While the generally pro-government media and Western governments remain silent and collaborate with the islamist rise in the traditionally ‘Western’ and civilized country that is Turkey, that is in strong contrast to the region and Muslim World, I think Prof. Dr. MS Megalommatis has all legitimacy to write this clear and strongly worded article and standing by 75% of the Turkish population that are being marginalized by the ruling party, not somehow for the country’s interest, but rather for its very downfall.
And perhaps a bit like the unexpected rise and victory of Anatolia lead by Mustafa Kemal pasha against the puppet sultan and the invading forces, an islamist wave and fall of Anatolian identity and dignity that was portrayed as a fait accompli by the ruling party, islamist and foreign media, is encountering an unexpected struggle: a responsible and patriotic people is rising to preserve their Kemalist legacy and secular and democratic country. But while a century ago the nationalist army was the people itself, now only a minority goes to the streets while an autonomous army defender of the Republic allows the majority to hibernate, and like you have said in one of your articles, Prof. Dr. MS Megalommatis, Anatolians have to learn to defend their country because only their patriotism can replace the army as the defenders of their Democratic Secular Republic.
And with the contribution of your priceless and illuminating knowledge, Prof. Dr. MS Megalommatis, perhaps one day in the near future a rainbow will be setting high in the Eastern skies, above a peaceful civilization and tapestry of beautiful flowers.
Thank you!

Yes, in Islam slundering is a big crime!
And hypocrisy is an even bigger one!
But if you think we don't know you as hypocrites, you are left far behind.
None of you is Muslim; you are pitifull, egopathic, arrogant, badly wounded (psychologically) and illiterate 'beings', who convert their wounds to hatred for the 'Other' that you intentionally want to ignore, sticking to your False and Satanic belief that gives you an hallucination of recomfort - only to push you deeper and more determinantly to the Hell.
This is all about you!
Repent - this is the only healthy option left to you - personally!
And leave Erdogan out of this discussion, for if he knew who truly manipulates him, he would commit suicide on the spur of the moment. |

This is totally inept to think that muslim women who wear headscarves are not really alloewed to work. To say that they will be sanctioned if they come home late at night because there is no trust to such a woman (who wears a headscarf). This is basically a lie.
Muslim woman- no matter if they wear a headscarve or not, are allowed to work in a western democratic state, or in a muslim coutry. If they get trouble at home because of their work and while they bring in the most part of the salary, this is not because Islam allowes this kind of family violence.
You cannot accuse somebody of prostution or what so ever simply because he comes home too late, just because this person happenst to be a woman (who wears the headscarf)
In Islam slandering somebody is a very big crime, I think any muslim knows this. Except muslims who don't know their religion.

Now, accusing Erdogan and his party, by comparing them to Hitler is just an other lie. On what ground do you compare them. They have not the slightest similarity. Either you don't know Hitlers time or you are very much wrong about the Turkish counrty and it's government.
Simply inept.
