Ginger Edgar Allan Poe was a very depressed man. I find his work fascinating however. I think I would have to say my two favorites are A Dream Within A Dream and Annabel Lee. The first, I enjoy because it gives me something to think over. What if our dreams were real and what we believe to be real life is really a dream? My school partner doesn't enjoy poetry very much. She thinks it can be boring depending on who it is, but i disagree strongly. 2/3/2011

Charles Baire I think edgar was a great man from this. but the had failed to mention that the man who had found him thought him to be drunk. He had greatly influenced many with his poetry. he and other had influenced me even the past break ups. i still continue to write dark poetry and love poetry and even books. Sabrina This biography of Edgar Allan Poe basically summarizes his life. He was left orphaned before he was three, along with his two other siblings. He was taken in by the Allan family, but Mrs. Allan died of tuberculosis like his real mother. Poe was sent off to college without any money and lived without much money his entire life. His wife was his cousin Virginia, she was 12 and he was 26 when they married. She died of tuberculosis also, then his brother did too. Edgar Allan Poe died on October 7th, 1849 in a hospital. 11/22/2010

Yasmin L. Edgar Allen Poe had a pretty hard like when his father, brother died. But when Virginia died all hell broke loos for him Virginia was a very important person in his life. Without her Edgar Allen Poe's writing wouldn't have been so outstanding. He happens to be one of my favorite poets,and authors.

margarita you messed up on one part here it is. Poe joined West Point in 1830, but John Allan and he had not reconciled their differences, yet. When John remarried, quarrels broke out between the two of them over the several affairs and children that John had sired both in and out of wedlock. John Allan finally disowned Poe. Edgar Allan Poe then decided to go on strike at West Point and refused to attend his classes and so on. He was court-martialed for disobedience in 1931. 1/8/2008
