Sandra besides with ameridream and others you must qualify for a loan, if i know my credit is bad isn't that the reason i am looking for free grants in the first place. What about contract for deed? Are there programs or grants that do not deal with loans or mortgage? Seems like free still comes with a cost. There's always a door/window for the thief to enter. 10/26/2007

Laura Smith I think this all sounds wonderful, but what does a person like me have to do to get approved. I work very hard for my money and I want to have a house to show for it. I am not saying I want a free house, I just need a little help on getting. So back to my question if you can help me please do so I am willing to help build a hose or remodle a house, it doesn't matter. Judy Lindgren My husband and I are in our 40's. And have pretty much given up owning our own house. That is the only dream we have, a legacy to our children. We just do not have the money for a downpayment or closing cost and our credit is horrible. We have a son with type 1 diabetes and we ran into medical difficulties many years ago, as a result we have lived paycheck to paycheck and have not gotten ahead.
