To mak a comment on Krista Dawn A.'s comment: If you believe animals have the same rights, do you believe they have the mental capacity and emotional ability, same as humans? Supposedly, animals live in the NOW and don't care about the past or future. So, I would say yes, they NEED Rights, but of their own. Hey could not function ith the same as us. It's absurd. We need to give them SPECIALIZED Rights, that suit each species correctly. It's too hard to generalize animals into one Law System, or Program! |

To be honst, I do agre that these animals ae being ill-treated and used wrongly. I understand that it hurts them, but I can also understand WHY the media took those risks. Fortunately for animals today, trainers are cheked out BEFORE their animals can be used. Yes, some tasks are unnatural, but some are as natural as can be. The hard part is teaching them to do this on command! I may no be a certified Animal Trainer, but I plan to be and I am persuing my Animal Behaviorsit degree, as well as my PhD in Veterinary Science. Please, Mr. D'Silva, I would LOVE to talk to you about this matter. If you could, email back so I can understand a little more. Also, why, if it is such a 'fact' that these animals are abused, can I not see any work cited? No back up, no article. THere is NO facts there until you can back it up by say, quoting an Animal Health specialist, someone who knows FOR SURE, that an Elephant cannot naturally do these things, or can we see pictures of PROOF, not just clips from this movie, that those animals were seriously sacrificed? Word gets around, doesn't make it true. So technically this is your OPINION. All of it! |

Sometimes you wouldn’t even realize it. Animal abuse could be happening right down your street and you wouldn’t even notice it. Animal cruelty is often broken down into two main categories: active and passive.
Examples of neglect are starvation, dehydration, parasite infestations, allowing a collar to grow into an animal’s skin, not good shelter in extreme weather conditions, and failure to seek veterinary care when an animal needs medical attention.
