I think we should wear school uniforms because it will stop all of the snobbish remarks made from kids that think their better than others because of what they wear. Some people may not aggree because they are one of these people but if you go to a big school, I know it happens a lot. If you do aggree then I think your thinking about other people and how they feel. NOBODY should ever be judged on what they wear, where they come from, there culture or anything like that. I know that some of you are getting tired of the rude remarks that people say. If you are tired of this stand up for it, and please, before you critize people walk a mile and there shoes and see where they've been. This hurts you too, not just the people that you judge. Please think about what you say to other people because I know what it's like. Uniforms can help in so many ways. |

School Uniforms
Students should wear school uniforms because students that wear uniforms it lets people know when there not in school, What school they go to and how they represent there school. Wearing a uniform if it is white will make you look nice and clean for school whether it is plain or colored it will not matter because all the other students will be wearing the same thing. Most students can’t afford nice clothes like Gucci or something in that order. So by doing this students will feel self confident and be ready for school everyday. Students will not be picked on for what they are wearing or how they look. Students on the other hand should choose what they wear not for the school purpose but for themselves. When students wear there own clothes it makes them feel imperial or self confident. I understand they students may not have the money to afford expensive clothes but deep down in side you shouldn’t care what people think. If people judge you by what you wear they arn’t worth waisting time with. School board bans certain clothes from being worn in school but why? Some say certain clothes like skulls or death or something in that factor are inappropriate. Almost everyday I hear a teacher curse or use profanity and they get away with this? I ask you why. Why should teachers be able to use profanity and we can’t wear what we want. I think it is selfish reasons. We as students should have equal rights for after all we are the students. |

Should children wear school uniform?
Should children wear school uniform? Nowadays, many children rather interested in fashionable until forget what they should do in their generation. There are three reasons I firmly believe that students should wear school uniform.
The first reason is wearing school uniforms is usually uniform’s color and plain so it looks clean and polite. The polite students who wear uniform should be good a student.
Secondly, wearing uniform can show your status because uniform indicates that you are students of the school or university.
The last reason is wearing fashionable clothes may distract students from studying. If they aren’t interested in fashion, they will have more time to focus on their study.
In conclusion I strongly believe that children should wear the school uniform. Their future are more significant than contain fashionable. What do you think about it? |

I really don't want to wear school uniforms... I recently moved and the school I went to before did not require uniforms, but much rather had a dress code that banned inappropriate clothe of many kinds, but you could still feel free to wear what you like. I've read comments from above such as, makeup can make you late, but go ahead and ban makeup, what do I care, whats that have to do with Uniforms?

The disadvantage of not wearing school uniform is that it will take up a lot of time to choose what to wear and as we know, some girls are vain and they will wear make-up to school. As a result, they will be late and that will become a problem.
Futhermore, they might wear inappropreaite clothes to school like singlets, miniskirt, etc, hence, it might cause distraction in learning and the classmates might critizeto their peers. |

Students should have uniforms. In countries like China, Japan, and even the UK...uniforms are a must. Now I read through the comments and have seen that most people say "Oh it's a freedom of expression." Yeah, and? School prepares us for the real world; in the real world...you're going to have to wear a uniform of some kind. If you work as an employee in a restaurant, a uniform is required. In an office, it may have to be ties, dress shirts, skirts but something formal and uniformed.
Now, my family comes from Costa Rica, a country that has a very rigid uniform policy. My cousin wears a uniform, but she can still express herself. She has her hair the way she wants it, the earrings she wants, little things (as long as they are tasteful, of course). Not to mention, she also expresses her way through her school works and opinions. Clothes don't make the man...you do. If you need clothes to define who you are...well, maybe you aren't expressing yourself. Maybe you need to concentrate on your personality more.
I'm all in favor of uniforms, but I think now...they should start with the upcoming students, the little kids. Uniforms are a way of showing discipline, something that most US students don't have. It's a way of showing we are united. What else, you can also express yourself through your personality, not what you wear. Uniforms are not the end of the world, but to shallow people, they are. |

i think uniforms is a good idea because it will stop some of the unecessary violence that goes on because of what someone is wearing. It would eliminate most of the distractions and allow studenta to be more focused on there acadimics. And the school would be able to tell if an intruder was on the primesses. It may take away the students ability to express there personality through there clothing but i think it makes them safe and more civilized. it makes the schools look as if officials are doin there jobs of keepin a calm and safe learning enviroment for students. |

Okay, first off. Wearing uniform will stop kids in gangs from wearing thier gang color. It'll help with kids who can't afford all the brand name clothing, like me. I get made fun of for not having this kind of shirt, or these kinds of pants. A few other kids are like me, I know.. In my city all the catholis high schools wear uniforms. A few of my friends go to a catholic high school. For boys: Black pants and a white shirt with the school logo. For Girl: A black skirt and a white shirt with the school logo. I don't find anything wrong with the uniform. I heard nothing about fighting about clothing, or anything like that. I think that uniforms make everyone feel the same, not totaly the same but, the same as in "Oh, her clothes are so ugly." and other comments. |
