Liesje D. Thank you for this wonderful article. My dog, Riley (hound/shepherd cross) has really seemed to age overnight over the last six months - she's 11, and it is causing me no end of distress. She is getting regular vet care, but I feel we are having limited success with treatments (for enlarged heart/heart murmur). I am well reminded to be patient with her - while I feel I have been, I know I can be even more so. It's hard to accept the aging of your pets, but it's inevitable. Thanks again. 6/17/2008
Debbie There is no mentions of vaccinosis in your article. It is a danger to older dogs as they could die from over-vaccination. My dog died of kidney failure after a leptospira booster. 10/19/2007
