Deepak well, one of the world's best Doctors and leading authority on heart diseases Dr Caldwell B Esselstyn does not recommend following items from the above list:

1. Fish: To be avoided...not only are there chances of mercury and other chemicals ingestion by having fish but recent study proves no real connection between having fish and a healthy heart.

Much better to have 1-2 teaspoons of ground flaxseed in the morning.

2. Nuts: To be avoided unless your LDL is less than 80.

3. Soy: Can increase Lipoprotein (A) levels which is an independent risk factor in heart disease. It has been proved having Soy increases Lipoprotein (A) levels which could be dangerous for your heart.

Hope this helped
