Best Scottish Shortbread Recipe

My great-great grandmother's recipe for Scottish Shortbread cookies. Anyone who has eve tasted these has said they are the BEST shortbread they have ever tested.

Tana This recipe didn't work for me at all. I suspect that the amount of flour is incorrect. The "shortbread" just crumbles when one tries to take it out of the pan. It is the opposite of "very hard." I wasted the ingredients including a full pound of butter! 12/10/2008
