| Elana F | Hello Under your above discussion of Alcoholic Hallucinosis(AH), you completely fail to emphasize the severe damage caused by (AH) AUDITORY voices at approx. 24-hours after cessastionof drinking. Our family member heard/experienced (our his parent's) voices deriding him, insulting him re:sexual disgust about him. He no longer accepts us as family or support system, as he truly believes he heard us say these disgusting things and now he totally distances himself from us. Very serious, when family support is so badly needed, and we don't know what to do.Question: How can psychiatry deal with this horrible kind of problem? | 1/17/2010 |
