Hard Workin Mom "It must be noted that financial help and money aids are reserved only for needy people and not meant for those single parents whose salaries and compensation is very huge and more than enough to comfortably support their children. Providing financial assistance to self-dependant parents would be too unfair to those who are deprived of basic and comfortable living."

Right, because those of us that have busted our buns to get into a more comfortable situation for our kids by going to school, working numerous jobs and depriving ourselves of any kind of life don't deserve to have any financial assistance. When I was down on my luck and practically homeless with my kids and needed help I couldn't even get any government assistance because I couldn't get past all of the immigrants with no jobs to even be considered.		 9/9/2008
Charlene "Even the Catholic Church and Rome...provides unconditional moral and spiritual support once a person becomes a single parent." Not in my experience! I was told by a church secretary at a local Catholic parish that my children could not be baptized during Mass because they were born out of wedlock. Furthermore, when I needed financial help, I made an appointment at Catholic Charities and arrived to find the volunteer wasn't even there! I received no phone call offering any explanation or offer to reschedule. I am convinced by all this that what pro-choice people have been saying for years is true- that so-called "pro-life" people only care about unplanned for children BEFORE they're born! 11/7/2007
