P.S. as the other commenters said, abortion is not a complicated procedure. Abortion carries 1/100 the risk of complication as pregnancy.
Seriously, did some pro-life organization send you here? Stop scaremongering people. |

This article is incredibly biased. It is categorically false that most women who have abortions regret them. It is also categorically false that parenting is a great option for teens. Teen parenting is associated with lower income, higher drug use, higher welfare income, and a higher risk of the children of the teen parents becoming a teen parents themselves. Open adoption is also terrible for children, as it creates a parental role confusion in the child. Furthermore, teams carrying children to turn has a higher risk of low birth rate, birth defects, and serious injury or death to the mother.
This article is as far from unbiased as I can possibly imagine. Give us the facts before you make blind assertions please. |

Where did you get the statistics that most women regret the "quick and easy" decision of abortion? From what I've read, most women are relieved at making the right decision for themselves. I can't imagine any decision in this situation is "easy", and the decision to have an abortion is no exception. Also, you state that abortion is a "complex procedure". This is not the case at all. If you read any objective medical material, it will state that a medical abortion is a short, outpatient procedure that poses less health risks than carrying a pregnancy to term. Scaring or guilt-tripping teens into having unwanted children is probably the worst thing an adult can do. If you want to decrease abortion rates, standing on street corners in protest or writing misleading articles is a waste of time. Educate and empower your children so they know the EMOTIONAL AND BIOLOGICAL consequences of their actions. |
