AirTran Removes Family from Flight Because of a Toddler Tantrum

On Tuesday AirTran officials defended the decision made by one of their flight attendants last week to remove a couple from a flight to Boston after their shrieking 3-year-old daughter began hitting her mother and refused to take her seat in order for the plane to take off.

Isabelle I feel that flying can be a very stressful event and having a child doing a tantrum makes the tension palpable in the air. The airline did well...they should not have paid for their return flights. 3/15/2007
GRW Since I once had a flight delayed at Phoenix by a toddler throwing a fit at the entrance to the jetway, this would encourage me to fly AirTran. 1/26/2007
