Sebastian Parra This poem got me; it really went into my heart, because there is an amazing lesson out of it, which is, that no matter what the problem is, a hard time with money, troubles with your family you or any similar cases, you cannot give up in your dreams, besides death everything has a solution.
I think this poem applies to a lot of us in the United States, specially the immigrants, because before everything we need to have in mind that no matter where we come from, we are going to succeed in our goals in the US, and we also have to make our the American dream a fact.
This poem made me realize the opportunity I have on my hands; of being able to be in this country and study, and in addition to that I am only a few steps away from changing one of my goals into a fact. I know there are going to be a lot of barriers on my life but I have to be man enough and pass through them and never lose faith on my dreams.
Even if you get any obstacles on your way, don’t be pessimistic and you would see that something good would come out of that and even a lesson would be a good starting to compensate the effort you have put on.
