Shahborn I love my GSD he is very smart and eager to learn most of the time. My only problem is that he is stubborn around strangers and often needs to be give a comand 2-3 times before he will follow the command around new people. 11/29/2009

D. Lewis Hello, I have a beautiful 14month old GS. She is lovely, but her eating habits are horrible. I feed of excellent dog food. She eats it but not everyday. I even tried other brands and mixing dry food with wet. But she still seem to be picky. I'm worry that she not getting the amount of food that she is suppose to get. She is small for her size. 8/3/2009
JJ These dogs love there owners. This is for certain. Love them and play with and walk them regularly, and you can't help but praise them. 5/18/2009
Becca Aimee - most GSD are very good about holding it - they do not like to go where they sleep and they WILL hold it whether you put pads out or not. If you are gone for an extended period pads are good or a rug that you can wash if/when your GSD uses it.
Steph - same here. It ahs helped that when we have friends over (that know we are trianing our dog) we have her on a leash and when she goes to jump, I pull her down and say no and when she does approach someone and does NOT jump ont hem we give her lots of praise and a treat if we ahve one handy, This ahs helped ALOT with strangers/guests. She still jumps on us when we arrive home though and she is VERY VOCAL when excited.

Becca Of all four of my dogs our German Shepard has been the easiest to train but can also be the most stubborn when she wants. She is extremely loving & obedient other than fence jumping - we have not been able to break her of that yet. :( any suggestions? 4/21/2009

Steph I have a German shepherd. I've had her for almost a year. And i can't get her to stop jumping up. i know and understand she's so excited but, she doesn't listen to ," no..down...down. Sit...sit." I've tried treats...and it helps a little but only for the sit command. she's starting to get a little too aggressive for me, and i'm worried she might accidentally hurt me or someone else...what other ideas should i try to get her attention to follow the commands i have taught her...i think she's relying on the treats. and not so focused on me being the master... 3/9/2009
