Dolly Why should we have to be woken up so rudely by loud adverts. These people are turning up the volume in OUR homes - whatever they say. Why is this allowed? You can't have a little sleep whilst watching TV. Muting the volume or fast forwarding cannot be done in your sleep. We should be allowed to watch TV and nod off. Why is nothing being done about this, it's basically harassment. 9/6/2009

Ed The loud volume levels of tv commercials have become so disturbing that my family now no longer watches television at all. 4/21/2009
ShamW0W TV is at the heart of American media. Addictive or not, it replaced the radio as a connection with the larger world. I know the internet now reigns as the leader of all media but people were generally raised with TV. TV is American. Its a part of all of us weather we like it or not. I feel what these people are going through, really. I generally play the volume game. But it would be a relief if such aggressive advertising were put to an end. 10/13/2008
Rev K.C.L. Sr. Katherine Westphal is an unrealistic right wing from channel 666, your sarcastic suggestions are beyond reality and common sense. Some people like to watch TV and some can't do anything else (disabled). We have to wait until the FCC gets off its rump, or a sound leveler that works on commercials without destroying the sound quality of a movie, series, or typical broadcast. Sarcasim doesn't solve anything. What an extremist! 6/21/2008
