Although I agree most of the points you raised, I disagree of what you claim on the name of Turkey. It appears in different forms, depending on the concerning language, e.g.Turchia since the late 14th century. As regards your claim on the indefinite borders of Turkey, I also agree with you. But could you tell me which country's borders had not not become a matter of debate at the dawn of the modern times?

Al-Beja Professor Muhammed u are a very smart man but u should not forget that the semites are africans and the semitic tongue came from africa not yemen as we can see that ethiopia has more semitic tongues than the whole arab world put together i have lived in sudan for many years as i am a Beja and Sudanese will tell u that kaffirs built meroe no sudanese takes credit for what is in sudan every sudanese links his heritage and lineage back to Prophet Muhammed even my Beja/Hedareb/BeniAmir people do the same thing my father claims he is from prophet Muhammeds family when truly we are Khammetic/Kuic u seem to keep claiming eritreans/tigreans to be semitic but u neglect there other side kuic even muslims in pakistan and india claim to be decendants of prophet muhammed come on brother as a fellow muslim u need to look at both sides if the abyssinians are confused so are the turks sudanese yemenites even oromo muslims claim they are semitic not kuic i have oromo friends who go to the masjid with me they all claim semitic bloodlines please brother look at both sides.

Owen Hamilton Dr. M.S. Megalommatis, i have had the plesure of reading many of you essays on various topic and have been impressed with you understanding-including biblical prespective. But in your essay "using the name Ethiopia..." I was rather suprised with your conclusion-do you not believe the finding of Dr. Joseph Greenberg that proves that the semetic people are part of the family of Ham. I would be intrested to here your comment on this matter-the semites did not desend into Africa but rather they came from Africa.
