Every day some animal is being put to sleep because of a stupid person who treats there animals like crap.
If your going to go and abuse your animal then give to some one or just dont do it.
Animals have feelings to. Every GOOD family treats there pets as if they were a child of there own.

I think that people should write more about what goes on in the animal shelters. I am doing a project on why it is more convenient to get animals from a shelter and not from breeders or stores. I think informing people on what goes on behind the doors of the shelter will make people understand what needs to be done in order for animals to have good loving homes. I think that killing shelters are disgracefu, yes animals need to go and you need to have space but there are not enough advertisements to inform people. I would like to learn more on why it is helpful to rescue animals from shelters. |

I think all animal shelters should be no-kill and they should just limit the amount of animals at each shelter and just build more shelters. They should get more donations and have fundraisers. |

i hate dogs. i beat dogs, sometimes until they die. it makes me happy. i also like to skin dogs and make coats out of them. this one time i stepped on one repeadetly untill it was half dead and then i kicked it down the stairs and it died. |

This is an excellent artilce on the realizm of shelters and how older pets can become excellent if not better companions to a family then that of a puppy of kitten. Yes puppies and kittens are cute and will always be cute but the benifits to adopting an older animal can sometimes be more rewarding.
In most instances the older animal is house-trained, has had basic vetting completed and has basic knowledge of proper behaviors then that of a puppy just eager to eat your new pair of work shoes! Naturally adopting from a shelter you are getting more for your Money! Not to mention the rewards of knowing you have ultimatly helped an animal that that has no controll over his fate once he enters into that shelter. |
