Shoryuken Megalodon could grow access to 60-70 feet, most teeth average 6 inches, and that's 10 feet per inch, while some teeth were 7 inches or just a tad bigger then that, indicating a 70 foot long animal.

The Sperm Whale is arguably the biggest ocean predator, however the way it kills would have paled in comparison to Megalodon who had a wide gape over 10 feet.

However other Ichtyosaurs are being estimated to being almost as big as Sperm Whales though, and the Pliosaurs are questionable. The size of ones like Liopleurodon would at the very most, reach 40-50 feet, which although huge in size would still have been smaller then the Sperm Whale, Shonisaurus, and Megalodon.

With the current evidence that we have, this is my take on it...

1. Sperm Whale (stating the 80 foot+ ones before they were being recorded)
2. Shonisaurus
3. Megalodon (Seriously, the scariest of the Top-3 and without a doubt the one to truly be feared)

Toby Some of the pliosaurs were bigger. But, sperm whales, prior to the whale slaughter during the 19th century, were even bigger. Some measured 90 feet long. 3/23/2009
Duncan donuts well the largest sperm whale on record was a bull male and he was 55 ft. long. 1/27/2009
Toby Before the whaling industry, Sperm Whales ranged from 80 to 90 feet long. Megalodon was about 52 feet long, as was the biggest pliosaur. Mosasaurs grew up to nearly 60 feet, as did Basiliosaurus.
The giant ichtyosaur, Shonisaurus grew up to 75 feet long. Therefore our Sperm Whales are the king of sea predators.

Toby There is now a newly discovered pliosaur that was 50 feet long. It might be the only sea monster ever that could dispute the title of "The Greatest Sea Monster of All Time" from Megalodon. 3/14/2008
